Crate & Barrel Loop Six-Drawer Dresser

Back in 2002 I purchased one melrose bed and two nightstands from one of my favorite stores, Crate & Barrel. Unfortunately a dresser was not an available accompaniment to the collection, so I have always been on the lookout for one that would compliment it.

It wasn't until recently in which I stumbled upon this Copenhagen Six-Drawer Dresser from Room & Board. Multiple options for wood, base, and pulls would allow me to create a piece that would compliment my melrose bed and two nightstands. Unfortunately it carries a hefty price tag of $1,399.00 (plus delivery and taxes), which I would be more than willing to spend if I had it, but I don't.

On the same day that I went to West Elm with my friend Mark, we also went to Crate & Barrel. I noticed this Loop Six-Drawer Dresser. While I loved the contemporary styling of the piece, I did not love the natural finish, however upon asking if it was available in any other colors I was pleased to be informed that it was also available in an espresso finish. Even though it does not contain as much metal as the Copenhagen Six-Drawer Dresser from Room & Board I think that the pulls would still allow me to create a piece that would compliment my melrose bed and two nightstands. Fortunately it will be $859.90 less than the Copenhagen Six-Drawer Dresser (plus delivery and taxes) after I use my 10% off coupon that I anticipate receiving after my upcoming birthday.

West Elm organic matelasse duvet cover & shams

After successfully lowering my mattress so it was more in line with my melrose nightstands from Crate & Barrel and replacing my table lamps from Pottery Barn with these grono table lamps from IKEA, the next order of business in my desire to transform my bedroom into a peaceful retreat is to replace my Nautica bedding from Bed Bath & Beyond.

A few weeks ago I went to West Elm with my friend Mark. I originally had my eyes set on this organic cottin pin-tuck duvet cover and shams, but as we were leaving the store I noticed this organic matelasse duvet cover & shams. They have more of a soft and inviting feel that I hope might help in luring a special someone into my bed at some point in the not too distant future *grin*. While it has a vintage look, the geometric stitching gives it a modern flair that I hope will also aid in hiding holes in the event that Mia continues her pattern of destruction of chewing holes in things.

Noble Excellence "Micro Cotton" towels

Among the list of things I would like to get for the new apartment are towels. When I was at Dillard's last week I came across these Noble Excellence "Micro Cotton" towels and really liked them. I was particularly drawn to the striped detail on the edge of the towels, which gives them a very modern and chic look. Of course my color of choice would be pearl as it would match my shower curtain from Crate & Barrel quite well. I would ideally like to get 6-30"x56" bath towels, 2-20"x30" hand towels, and 4-13"x13" washcloths.

Under 14th Street

My CB2 urban console table would look a little bare sitting there all by its lonesome. I came across this giclee print canvas wrapped on a wood frame as I was browsing Z Gallery. It’s entitled Under 14th Street by Parvez Taj. I am really drawn to it and I think this would look perfect above the CB2 urban console table that I also want to get. Although there are a lot of things on my list I would like to get for the new apartment, this is second from the top .

CB2 urban console table

Back in 2002 I purchased two trestle side tables and one coffee table from one of my favorite stores, Crate & Barrel. I really wish I would have also ordered the console table as well, but as I had no need for one at the time I didn't. My new apartment features a divider wall between the entryway and bedroom, which is an ideal spot for one. Even though locating the trestle console table appears to be next to impossible, I came across this urban console table from CB2, which has a lot of similarities to the trestle collection. Although there are a lot of things on my list I would like to get for the new apartment, this is at the very top.
